The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharova said that it was impossible to stop the completion of the construction of the “Northern Flow-2”, and called for stopping the project obstacles. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the diplomat, European consumers will soon be able to receive Russian gas for the shortest route. However, Zakharov noted that the deadlines for the start of commercial supplies depend on Germany.
Earlier, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was hoping that the gas pipeline will cease to be a reason for confrontation with other countries after the construction is completed. According to Zakharova, North Stream-2 is a positive example of a mutually beneficial partnership of Russia and the European Union.
According to preliminary data, gas supplies to Europe on a new route are scheduled for October 1. In the Kremlin, hope that the completion of the project will not prevent anything.
