Political analyst estimated chances of Lukashenko to establish relations with EU and USA

President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, there is a chance to establish relations with the European Union (EU) and the United States, even after the harsh sanctions entered against the country. The executive director of the international monitoring organization CIS-EMO was told about this in an interview with Lente.ru. Stanislav Father.

“Since Lukashenko, no matter how cool, definitely not the protected of Russia, while he keeps the neutrality of Belarus, it is tolerated for those and for others. Only Russia’s patience is quite muffled, and in the USA and the EU it is customary to criticize his position”, – Evaluated the situation of the fast.

In his opinion, the EU and the United States who did not recognize Lukashenko legitimate president, there is an understanding that he retains the sovereignty of Belarus.

“With all the antipathy to Lukashenko, they see it and as a pro-Russian policy, but at the same time also a supporter of the Belarusian sovereignty. Therefore, multiple-member strategy is triggered,” the political scientist summarized.

Negotiations of the Presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko took place in the Kremlin on Thursday, September 9, they launched more than three hours. During the press conference, on the basis of the negotiations, Putin announced the coordination of all 28 programs within the framework of the Allied State. They are aimed at the unification of the legislation of Russia and Belarus in various fields of economics, economy, transport.

In 2019, when initially planned to complete the integration, a number of protests were held against deepening cooperation with Russia. Then Lukashenko repeatedly declared the need to conduct multi-vector policies and build an independent country.
