NASA did not rule out flight of Russian on Crew Dragon

The third and fourth mission to deliver people to the International Space Station (ISS) with the help of the Crew Dragon ship will be sent to the near-earth orbit of American, European and Japanese astronauts, as well as another unnamed crew member, NASA reports.

Mission Crew-3 with astronauts Raja Chari, Tom Marsh, Kyloma Barron and Mattias Mauret is scheduled for October 31. Crew-4 with Chell Lindgren, Bob Heins and Samantha Christoforetti will take place not earlier than April 15. The fourth member of the crew of this mission is still to be approved.

In April, the Acting Head of NASA Steve YURCHIK in a conversation with Spaceflight Now did not rule out that the first flight of the Russian cosmonaut on American Crew Dragon and Starline spacecraft will occur no earlier than 2022. According to Yrurchik, we are talking about the mission of Spacex Crew-4, the launch of which will be held no earlier than the first quarter of 2022. The Acting Head of NASA noted that the draft version of the relevant “implementing agreement” between NASA and Roscosmos is still under consideration by the US State Department.

At the same time, the general director of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, said that the state corporation was negotiating the delivery of astronauts on the ISS using Crew Dragon.

The fact that the Russian cosmonaut Sergey Korsakov in can go to the ISS on Crew Dragon, reported in March “Interfax” with reference to the head of the cosmonaut training center Pavel Vlasov.
