Administration of Baiden will submit to court to state of Texas due to law on abortions

US President Joe Bayden intends to submit to the state of Texas due to the entry into force of the new abortion law. About it reports The Wall Street Journal.

It is expected that the Ministry of Justice will give a lawsuit in the coming days, but the exact date is not specified. The reason for litigation was the conflict of the law with federal legislation.

Head of the Ministry of Justice, General Prosecutor of the United States Merrick Garland stressed that the Office intends to protect the residents of Texas who want to make an abortion. To do this, it will be guided by the legal norms prohibiting physically obstructing or using the threat of use of force in order to keep a person treating reproductive health services.

Law in Texas, who entered into force on September 1, is considered one of the most stringent in the country. It prohibits abortions after six weeks of pregnancy (after the first palpitation of the fetus) in most cases. The procedure cannot be carried out, even if the conception occurred as a result of rape or incest. Moreover, the law allows everyone to file claims against those who violate it. Citizens who won such claims, “will have the right to receive” at least 10 thousand dollars.

At the same time, 85-90 percent of women usually make an abortion at later timing – thus this bill actually limited abortions in general.
