Lavrov explained recognition of Russian vaccines in EU

EU countries (EU) can recognize Russian vaccines from coronavirus without an official decision from the European regulator. This was stated by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, his words reported RIA Novosti.

The diplomat called the approval of Russian drugs from COVID-19 in the European territory. “Any country of the European Union can also come as Hungary, without waiting for the official decision of the European Medicine Agency,” he spoke.

On August 23, the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry shared plans for the production of the Russian drug “Satellite V” on the territory of Hungary. According to him, the options for launching production are currently being developed. The diplomat recalled that Hungary is the only country of Europe, which approved the use of the Russian drug from COVID-19 to vaccinate the population.

Hungary Foreign Minister Peter Siyarthto, in turn, said that in the country they can start producing “satellite V” at the end of 2022.
