Germany will provide Afghanistan 100 million euros within the framework of urgent humanitarian aid. This was stated by Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, it quotes Reuters.
Politician promised that the country will then provide another 500 million euros. In addition, the German authorities are ready to cooperate with other countries – for example, Iran and Pakistan, neighboring Afghanistan, – for the help of refugees.
Chancellor also commented on the negotiations of the military campaign participating in the Islamic Republic. Previously, they discussed whether to extend the dates of evacuation – it must be completed before it should be completed by August 31. However, so far NATO countries have not come to a common opinion regarding this issue.
