UK threatened Iran because of incident with a tanker in Arabian Sea

Great Britain did not rule out new actions on the UN Security Council (UN Security Council) against Iran if he does not want to resolve the diplomatic incident with the Tanker in the Arabian Sea. This was reported by the British representative in the UN Barbara Woodward, reports TASS.

“The path of the diplomatic dialogue remains open. But if Iran decides on it not to go, then we will seek to attract Iran to justice,” she threatened. According to Woodward, this issue can be discussed at the UN Security Council next week, when the sea safety discussions take place.

The United Kingdom Representative in the UN Security Council also noted that Iran’s evidence of Iran’s responsibility for a deliberate attack on the Mercer Street tanker. The diplomat clarified that they are based on shaven 136 drone debris detected on the vessel. Such devices are produced only in Iran, stressed Woodward.

Earlier, the head of the UK Defense Headquarters General Nick Carter said Iran’s “big mistake” due to the attack on the tanker. According to him, such actions of Tehran can lead to a catastrophic exacerbation of the situation in the Middle East.

Attack on the Mercer Street tanker occurred on July 30 off the coast of Oman in the Arabian Sea. As a result of the attack, two members of the crew were killed – a citizen of Romania and a citizen of Great Britain. Western countries accuse all denying Iranians in an attack on the Mercer Street ship, which killed two crew members – citizens of Great Britain and Romania.
