Experienced Design Bureau “Torch” (entering the integrated structure of the Energomash Scientific and Production Association named after Academician V.P. Glushko State Corporation “Roskosmos”) With the support of the Fund to promote innovation, it has completed the development of a gas motor installation for a Cubesat format.
Its development was carried out as part of the implementation of the program “on duty on the planet”. Gas motor installation is a fully compatible device with a Cubesat 3U format, 6U, and is designed to solve various Cubesat format nanoscale balestite tasks. Gas motor setting occupies 1U (100 × 100 × 100 mm) and no more than 9 W power consumption.
The resulting scientific and technological reserve will allow the Torch OKB to enter the nanostotel market, which will allow to expand the range of products being developed, as well as the level of interaction with university development universities. Currently, the Torch OKB has begun to manufacture three prototypes of the gas propulsion engine setting, two of which are intended for ground-based experimental development and a series of laboratory work in order to approbate the educational technique. Another prototype of the gas motor installation is designed to carry out flight tests within the framework of the SPACE PI project.
