Germany: declared preparation for war with Russia

Parliamentarian is confident that this can be considered “part of moral mobilization and preparation for war.”

Dagdelen also commented on the statement by the Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Germany, Annegeret Kramp Carrenbauer about Russia as an opponent of Europe. “The one who calls to combat Russia is not interested in discharge. On the contrary, such propaganda methods create new enemy images to prepare a military campaign to Russia,” the deputy said.

Another threatening factor was called the growth of German military spending up to 85 billion euros, which is tens of billions of euros exceeding the Russian defense budget.

In April, the German Das Erste TV channel said that military exercises were held on the German polygon, which “are the preparation of NATO for the operation of the events of Russia.” According to media information, maneuvers are aimed at ensuring the safety of Eastern flank allies of the Alliance. “In 2014, NATO decided to place troops in Lithuania in advance to send a signal. This is our task. This is the task of our division for this year and the following three,” said one of the commanders of the educational artillery battalion.

Earlier, the German Foreign Minister Haiko Maas called on the North Atlantic Alliance to grow “political muscles”. “Autocratic challenges against the Alliance will grow up in the next decade. Therefore, we must maintain democracy commitment and strategically intensifying as an alliance,” he explained. Maas also supported NATO funding reform, which the Secretary General of Jens Stoltenberg offers, and made a dialogue with Russia. At the same time, he stressed that “the ball on the side of Moscow.”
