He was called “Lambda” -Shtam Sars-COV-2, which extends to Peru and neighboring countries of Latin America since the end of the summer of 2020. The document states that a group of physicians first discovered his traces in Brazil: presumably, the virus penetrated there from Argentina.
According to researchers, the spread of the new SARS-COV-2 strain can exacerbate the epidemiological situation in Brazil. These morbidity in Peru indicate this: to the penetration of the “Indian” strain, most of the population was infected with the “Lambda”.
At the end of June, 19 varieties of coronavirus were recorded in Brazil. Then it was noted that in most cases – 89.9 percent – the Amazonian strain of coronavirus P.1 prevails. In second place is the British strain B.1.1.7, which accounts for 4.2 percent.
