Lukashenko declared about “less hospitable” Kazakhstan

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Kazakhstan became less hospitable, reports TASS.

On May 21, chaired by the President of Kazakhstan Kasima-Zhomart Tokayeva, an online meeting of the Higher Eurasian Economic Council was held. The initial meeting was planned to hold in the Kazakhstan capital, but later it was decided to organize it in video connection.

“I thought that Kazakhstan was somehow more hospitable before, I invited the chairman for some meetings, and now for some reason closed,” Lukashenko noted at the beginning of his speech.

Tokayev thanked the Belarusian leader “for the traditionally memorable performance” and explained that Kazakhstan is worried about the health of the participants of the event.

“I appeal to colleagues [with a call] not to doubt our hospitality. The decision to hold this meeting was made consensus,” Tokayev said. He encouraged not to simplify the situation, because “Pandemic is still coming.”
