On the Baikonur cosmodrome Specialists of the Rocket and Space Corporation “Energy” named after S.P. Queen (part of the state corporation “Roskosmos”) regularly completed the pneumatic tests of the laboratory module “Science”. During the tests that lasted about a month, the tightness of the case, hatches and connecting units, as well as the functioning of the pneumohydrose and motor installation and external hydraulic complexes after their installation were tested.
Currently, the module is in the stapel, preparations are prepared for the final installation of the EUROPEAN ROBOLOTIC ARM manipulator, then refueling the control system of the thermal mode of this module. After that, work on the installation of microdeorit protection.
Module “Science” – a research module of the Russian segment of the International Space Station, developed by the RSC “Energy” named after S.P. Queen (equipment of onboard systems and scientific equipment) in cooperation with the GKNPTs named after M.V. Khrunichev (general design and production are included in the state corporation “Roscosmos”) in order to expand the functionality of the Russian segment of the International Space Station.
