Mishoustin offered to be stricter to “greedy” companies

Head of the Government of Russia Mikhail Mishustin declared readiness to establish additional taxes “greedy” companies that aggressively derive revenues abroad, for example, in the form of dividends. Such a proposal, he expressed during the report in the State Duma, reports TASS.

According to him, it is too early to say about a particular mechanism, but, most likely, these are progressive rates for income tax or any other. Mishoustin stressed that the main principle is to be stricter and force the company to give more to the budget of the country. At the same time, he clarified that new fees should not kill the desire to create new products and export them.

For the first time about the preparing “Donette of the Tax Legislation”, the President of the country Vladimir Putin told on April 21 in the message to the Federal Assembly on April 21. Then he mentioned that it is about paying dividends abroad.

A year ago, Putin spoke about a tax in the amount of 15 percent of dividends and interest, which are translated abroad. For this, Moscow must renew the agreements on the avoidance of double taxation with other jurisdictions. Last year managed to negotiate with Malta, Cyprus and Luxembourg.

Negotiations with the Netherlands ended in failure, Russia began denunciation of the agreement. At the next stage, work in new conditions will be offered Hong Kong, Singapore and Switzerland.
