A new view is opened glowing in darkness of poisonous toads

In Brazil, a new kind of toads, glowing in the dark containing poison and having a size with human nail, tells Daily Mail.

Animal found in the forest in São Paulo. Scientists have determined that it is a type of pumpkin toad (Brachycephalus EPHippium), which is a group of related species of fluorescent bright frogs, whose tint resembles a pumpkin. Most of the time, this toad spends in the forest litter – the researchers photographed it, rushing between the branches.

The toba gave the scientific name of Brachycephalus Rotenbergae. Its size is only about two centimeters. The reasons for the fluorescent glow of the toad scientists are not completely clear. Perhaps a bright appearance is a warning for predators about poisonousness, but it can also be a reference point for potential partners, or it can be an effective camouflage among yellow and orange leaves, mushrooms and seeds.

Scientists add that the animal is poisonous – it contains Tetrodotoxin, but he does not represent mortal danger. People can touch the toad with bare hands, but should not be brought after that hands to the eyes or mouth, so as not to infect. Potentially dangerous this toad for small mammals and birds.
