Due to the acceleration of inflation at the beginning of the year, Russians pensions decreased in real terms. In February, the fall was 0.1 percent, and in March several more – 0.2 percent. About this with reference to quarterly data Rosstat reports Interfax.
In January 2021, the real size of the average pension (with an amendment for inflation) showed an increase of 0.4 percent. Almost all months of 2020, it also increased, but if in January 2020, the growth was 3.2 percent in annual terms, then in December, exceeded was only 0.8 percent.
In general, in 2020, the real size of the average retirement rose by 2.3 percent compared with 2019. In nominal expression, the average pension in March 2021 amounted to 15,779 rubles, growth in the year 5.6 percent.
Also in a quarterly report, Rosstat announced the fall of the real disposable revenues of Russians from the beginning of the year by 3.6 percent compared with the same period last year, as well as 26.7 percent compared with the fourth quarter of 2020.
The first quarter of the current year should have been published on April 21, but in the general report they did not turn out. Rosstat explained the delay to the need to further collect information.
