Telegram a month and a half after the first placement of bonds decided to take hundreds of millions of dollars from investors again. According to the newspaper Vedomosti, the company holds a new placement of convertible Eurobonds by $ 750 million.
The minimum lot for the purchase was 500 thousand dollars, the nominal value of the bond was 1000 dollars. The maturity date is March 22, 2026. The publication notes that after an additional issue, the total volume of Eurobonds of the Telegram Group in circulation will be $ 1.75 billion. Information about the coming placement was confirmed by Forbes sources. According to one of the managers, May 6 will be calculated on the transaction and trading will begin.
At the end of March, the founder of Telegram Pavel Durov announced the sale of messenger bonds “Some of the largest and most informed investors from all over the world.”
Investment funds from the UAE Mubadala Investment Company and Abu-Dhabi Catalyst Partners have invested in Telegram paper 75 million dollars. The bonds also bought a sovereign Russian direct investment fund (RDII), which has a joint fund with Mubadala. The amount of investments on the part of the RDIA is not called.
