He is not known whether Putin has accepted an invitation of the American colleague.
“I don’t know whether it was formally accepted, but we are talking about it, about the date of a possible meeting,” he explained.
Also in an interview with Blinken called the condition of negotiations with Russia for a number of issues, including the topic of strategic stability. The Gossek stated that they were possible if Russian President Vladimir Putin “decides not to spend escalation.”
Earlier, the spokesman for the White House, Jen Psaki, answered the question of the timing of Putin’s possible meeting and Bayden. According to Psaki, at the moment there are no confirmed meeting details, including its possible terms, so far there. “When we have any details, we will declare them,” she said.
