Great Britain has recognized Russia as an acute threat

Great Britain has recognized Russia as one of the main and acute threats. This is stated in a review of the security, defense and foreign policy of the United Kingdom, writes Reuters.

Britain has decided that it will defend itself “against any threats posed by the Russian side.” In addition, the United Kingdom plans to send its military forces overseas significantly more often, as well as to increase the defense budget.

At the same time, London hopes to develop trade relations with Beijing, while simultaneously developing its security. Thus, the review acknowledged that the growing role of China in the world is the main geopolitical factor of the decade.

The Sunday Times wrote on March 14 that Britain recognizes Russia as the number one threat. The publication reported that it is about “frequent aggressive incursions” of Russia into the water and airspace of Great Britain. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on these reports and said that such a confrontational attitude can cause “only regret and even concern.”
