NATO considers Russia and terrorism to be main threats

NATO considered Russia, China, climate change and terrorism to be the main threats. Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated this, his speech was published on the organization’s website.

“We need to have a strong bond to meet challenges. For example, Russia’s destabilizing behavior, terrorism, cyberattacks, disruptive technology, the rise of China and climate change. No country or continent can handle it alone.” , – emphasized the NATO Secretary General.

At the same time, on March 15, Stoltenberg said that he did not see a direct threat from Russia and China – and for this, the member countries of the alliance should be thanked. “If there is an attack, it will provoke a reaction from all allies. This is one of the main reasons thanks to which we have been able to keep the peace for more than 70 years,” he stressed.
