Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton complained about Russia’s victory over the United States in “vaccine diplomacy”. Her words leads the Edition Independent.
Clinton told that at the same time intrigued and a little was distressed with how Russia and China promote their vaccines against coronavirus. “They use vaccine diplomacy. They come to the country and say:” We will take care of you. “And the United States remains only to eliminate their backlog,” the politician explained.
Clinton stressed that the United States will have enough doses to vaccinate the entire population, therefore it is necessary to share them with the rest – both in bilateral and through the international mechanism to ensure the availability of COVAX vaccines.
On the eve, it became known that the Russian direct investment fund filed an application for the participation of the Vaccine “Satellite V” in the COVAX mechanism. In February, it became known that China will provide a mechanism of 10 million doses of its vaccine.
Both countries also supply their drugs in bilateral manner. Agreements on the supply of Russian vaccine “Satellite V” were concluded with more than 50 countries. The Chinese authorities state that they send their vaccines as a gum of 53 states, and on a commercial basis – at 27.
