The US Ministry of Justice accused the former Floor diplomat Michael Guertin in concealing financial ties with Chinese citizens. This was reported in the press service of the American ministry, RIA Novosti reports.
Former employee of the State Department earlier worked in Dipmissions in Shanghai and Islamabad. The investigation claims that he hid the important information during the inspection to access the secret information. In particular, Guertin did not report a loan of 225 thousand dollars, which he received in Chinese citizens to cover their debts in the casino.
In addition, the ex-diplomat hid a personal connection with a resident of China, which helped to get an American visa at the US consulate in Shanghai.
