Chief designer NGO Energomash took part in popular skill event Yuri’s Night

On the Cosmonautics Day, the chief designer of the Scientific and Production Association “Energomash” named after Academician V.P. Glushko (Roskosmos State Corporation) Peter Levochkin spoke to the participants of the scientific and popular event Yuri’s Night, which for the fifth time passes in Perm. In his report, he spoke about the formation of Russian engine engineering in Russia and Perm, as well as about the fate and creative path of outstanding engineers-designers: Valentina Petrovich Glushko, Sergey Pavlovic Queen and their associates standing at the origins of the Russian cosmonautics.

Starting your report, the chief designer NGO Energomash congratulated all the participants with the Day of Cosmonautics, noting that such holidays as April 12 and May 9 are not only our pride, but also an example for future generations.

“Our country is proud of the Great Past, but thanks to the younger generation, I am sure, will be proud of their achievements, our great future,” Petr Levochkin added.

During the report, Peter Levochkin spoke about how in Soviet years a cooperation between NGO Energomash (Khimki) and Proton-PM (Perm) was built: engines were created in Khimki in Khimki, worked out at an experienced factory, and Then passed into mass production in Perm. So, for many decades, the Kama branch of NGO Energomash, which carries out the author’s supervision and design support of all products that are made on the proton-Perm motors has been working on the territory of Proton-PM. The Kamsky branch is subordinate to the chief designer NGO Energomash. So long before the creation of an integrated rocket engine building structure, which united leading Russian enterprises, NGO Energomash and Proton-PM actively collaborated.

Peter Levochkin’s report caused great interest among the listeners, after completing the performance, the participants asked questions about promising carrier missiles and new technologies used in the creation of rocket engines.
