In April, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the high-speed route from Moscow to Kazan should be launched in 2024. This year, 40 billion rubles will be allocated to the construction site, and the total financing of the road megaproject exceeds 650 billion rubles. The route will be part of the transport corridor Europe – Western China. It is assumed that the path from Moscow to Kazan on a new road will take 6.5 hours instead of 10 hours.
