Biden talked to George Floyd’s family after Verdict for an ex-policeman

US President Joe Biden talked with the family of George Floyd after the verdict of the former police officer Derek Shavin, who was convicted of the murder of an African American. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the White House.

Biden, together with Vice President Kamala Harris, held a conversation with the brother of the deceased. Also, the head of state talked with the Governor of Minnesota Tim Walts. It is noted that soon Biden and Harris will speak with the appeal in connection with the case of George Floyd.

Previously, the jury in the Court of Minneapolis recognized the former police officer Shovina guilty of the murder of George Floyd. Shotin is found guilty of all three points of murder. Ex-policeman threatens to 40 years in prison. It is expected that the sentence will be announced after eight weeks.

46-year-old African American George Floyd was arrested on May 25, 2020 near the grocery store in Minneapolis. It is argued that he allegedly paid a fake check.
