Solemn ceremony of laying flowers to Kremlin wall

On Monday, April 12, 2021, the Kremlin Wall has a solemn ceremony of laying flowers to the graves of the first cosmonaut of the Earth Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin and an outstanding scientist, the general designer of Rocket and Space Systems Academician Sergey Pavlovich Queen.

In the solemn ceremony, Director General of Roskosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, was attended by the delegation of the state corporation and members of the Russian cosmonauts detachment, veterans and employees of the Russian Rocket and Space, representatives of public organizations.

60 years ago, April 12, 1961, the world’s first spacecraft “East” with a man on board was bred in orbit. Yuri Gagarin was in flight of 108 minutes, during which time the ship made one turn around the earth. An event that can be described in one sentence changed the world, made humanity to join and confidently walk into the future.

For 60 years, which passed from the first flight, many discoveries have been made, great results are achieved in the study and development of space. The continuents of the glorious traditions of domestic cosmonautics are becoming more, but every year on April 12, we are grateful to think about those who stood at her origins. Pride for the compatriot, who opened the road to the stars, covers representatives of all generations: from witnesses of that historical event to the current schoolchildren.
