Israel is behind the attack on a nuclear facility in the Iranian Natanz, and its task was to disrupt negotiations on the TERAN nuclear transaction. This was stated by the Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, reports IRNA.
“Zionists want to revenge for success in removing repressive sanctions from the Iranian people, but we will not allow. We will take measures against the Zionists themselves,” the minister stressed. He pointed out that the answer to Israel would be still “stronger nathanz, where more perfect technicians will be used.”
Zarif also noted that Tehran needs to protect objects and nuclear scientists. At the same time, “the elite and the people of Iran need to be attentive, so as not to get into a cunning trap created by the Zionist regime,” he added.
Previously, Israel’s involvement in the attack on Iran’s nuclear facility was anonymously confirmed in the United States. Vice-President of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi called the resulting “act of nuclear terrorism”.
The accident occurred on a nuclear facility for uranium enrichment in Natanz on April 11. Atomic Energy Organization stated that the incident was associated with the distribution of electricity. Later it became known that a powerful explosion on a nuclear facility led to the destruction of a well-protected inner electrical system, which ensured the work of the enriching uranium centrifuges. According to some reports, the incident inflicted a serious blow to Iran’s opportunity to enrich uranium: the work of the object in normal mode can be recovered only after nine months.
