An elementary school teacher from a Russian school was accused of stealing jewelry from students during lessons. This was reported on the website of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.
We are talking about a 27-year-old teacher, whose name is not indicated. The incident took place at an educational institution in the city of Ruzayevka, Republic of Mordovia.
According to the investigation, the suspect gathered junior high school students in the gym to play active games with them – one of them was blind man’s buff. So, the woman blindfolded the students and removed all gold jewelry from them, explaining this by ensuring security. After class, she did not return schoolchildren their personal belongings. It is also noted that the teacher committed some thefts at the moment when she was straightening the clothes of the children.
“The suspect handed over stolen jewelry to pawnshops. She spent the proceeds on personal needs. The preliminary amount of damage was 117 thousand rubles,” the ministry said in a statement.
The educational institution refused to comment on the situation. A criminal case was opened against the teacher.
