American senators are interested in Russia’s influence on extremists in the United States. The chairman of the special intelligence committee of the Senate Mark Warner told The New York Times about this.
According to him, the committee will conduct an investigation to find out which extremist groups are involved in the riots in the US capital. The parliamentarian noted that special attention will be paid to the relations of these organizations with European countries, including Russia.
Warner said that checks will be carried out against the ultra-right organization Proud Guys, racist groups, the American anti-fascist movement Antifa, as well as other ultra-right and ultra-left associations.
