EU shortens list of countries to phase out entry restrictions

The European Union has reduced the number of countries for whose citizens entry restrictions will be gradually removed. The corresponding decision was published on the website of the European Council.

Japan was excluded from the list. Thus, only seven countries remain on the list: Australia, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand and China.

At the same time, it is clarified that the restrictions on entry do not affect residents of Andorra, Monaco, San Marino and the Vatican.

According to the WHO, over 33 million cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Europe for all the time. 722 thousand people died from complications caused by the disease.
