Residents of a European country got rich during a pandemic

Danish people got richer during the coronavirus pandemic. Household savings in the third quarter amounted to 5.66 trillion kroons ($ 930 billion), writes Bloomberg a >.

Over the past two quarters, their assets have increased by 709 billion kroons. The central bank of the country said that in the fourth quarter financial well-being should increase to a new record as the markets continue to rise. The average household income is about two million kroons (327 thousand dollars).

The world economy next year will recover at a slower pace than expected earlier. This is stated in the forecast Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). By the end of this year, the organization expects a decrease in the eurozone economy by 7.5 percent.

Earlier, experts stated that among all countries EU Lithuania’s economy has suffered the least from the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic. European Commission thinks Lithuania will have the smallest GDP contraction (2.2 percent) among the countries of the European Union.
