Hacker who hacked Trump’s Twitter decided not to jail

The hacker who hacked the Twitter of the US President Donald Trump was left free .., reports the Vox edition citing the Dutch prosecutor’s office.

The investigation was able to prove that 44-year-old Victor Gevers really got access to the account of the American leader, despite the fact that the White House itself denied the hack.

However, law enforcement officers came to the conclusion that the hacker acted “ethically” by immediately reporting the deed to the Dutch authorities. “We believe that the hacker did indeed gain access to Trump’s Twitter account, but at the same time his act fell under the criteria of case law, allowing him to remain at large as an ‘ethical hacker'”, – said in to the prosecutor’s office .

Gevers himself admitted that he simply guessed Trump’s password. The president’s account was protected by the combination “maga2020!” – an abbreviation of Trump’s famous slogan Make America Great Again.
