British company turned dozens of its employees into millionaires

The founder of the British tech company Hut Group, Matt Molding, turned 74 employees of his firm into millionaires by donating shares of the company, writes Mirror.

Over the past ten years, about 430 employees (from managers and secretaries to warehouse workers) have received free promotions. For example, a driver who has worked for the firm for less than two years earned £ 40,000 ($ 53,000). “We have created more millionaires than any other company in British corporate history,” Molding said. According to him, the number of millionaire workers will grow.

Of the nearly £ 1 billion ($ 1.3 billion) stock set aside for staff, about £ 175 million ($ 233 million) has yet to be disbursed. Molding also said he plans to donate his entire £ 750,000 ($ 997,000) salary to charity.

Previously Tesla CEO Elon Musk warned employees about the risks of a collapse of the company’s shares. Employees should focus on making profits and cutting costs, says the businessman.
