The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that the government of the republic will find 10 thousand dollars for each child after the birth of two children. BelTA informs about it.
According to him, the biggest problem is not the coronavirus, not protests, not the economy, but demography. Lukashenko is sure that if each Belarusian does not give birth to two or three children, the situation will be like in European countries, where almost 200 thousand people are lost in a year. If the birth rate is not raised now, then in half a century there will be no one to live in Belarus, the president believes.
“Give birth, for God’s sake. We will find this money – 10 thousand for each child after the birth of two children. Because this is the main thing. There will be no children – there will be no workers, then no education is needed, no competencies”, – Lukashenko said.
In this regard, he instructed the government to support large families.
Earlier on November 20, Lukashenko called the goal of his presidency to preserve machine building in Belarus. “The main thing is that we will have engineers, designers, managers. I will never in my life go to ruin what I have done with my own hands. Therefore, there will be mechanical engineering in the country,” he said, talking with the workers of Gomselmash “.
