Mincifers prepared amendments to the law on critical information infrastructure (KII), said the head of the department Maksut Shadaev, speaking at the TADVISER Summit 2022 forum. The powers to determine the systems that relate to CII are proposed to be transferred to the government.

According to the head of the Ministry of Construction, the bill gives the government the powers from above to determine for each industry those types of information systems that will necessarily relate to CII. For them, companies will be required to switch to domestic decisions.
The terms of such a transition will be determined “with caution,” Shadaev said. They need to be linked with the real readiness of the corresponding solutions.
