Published experimental release of an open implementation of the Win32 API – Wine 11.7. Since the release of 11.6, 35 bug reports have been closed and 311 changes have been made.
The most important changes:
- Added support for configurations with seven-channel surround sound to the DirectSound API (7.1).
- Work has begun on a new implementation of the msxml library (Microsoft XML Core Services) that does not use libxml2. Some problems in the operation of msxml3 and msxml4 have been fixed.
- Optimizations have been made and compatibility with VBScript has been improved.
- The SRGB filter has been implemented in D3DX.
- By default, when creating prefixes the version is set to Windows 10 instead of Windows 7.
- Closed error reports related to the operation of applications: ABBYY FineReader 12, Xara Designer Pro, FTDI Vinculum II IDE, Kinco Dtools, VOCALOID6, Songbookpro, Fade In Pro, Kakaowork.
- Closed error reports related to the operation of games: Spellforce 2, SimTower, MapleStory World, Falsus, Stratego, Act of War: Direct Action.
At the same time formed release of the project Wine Staging 11.7, which provides extended Wine builds that include incomplete or risky patches that are not yet suitable for adoption into the main Wine branch. Compared to Wine, Wine Staging provides
