Arch Linux Infrastructure Hit by DDoS, Causing Disruptions

The developers of the distribution of Arch Linux have reported ongoing DDoS attacks on August 16. As a result, some project services are intermittently unavailable. The main site, the AUR repository, the wiki, forum, and GitLab platforms are experiencing issues. Technical details of the attack and protective measures have not been disclosed yet, as the attack is still ongoing.

Due to the inaccessibility of primary repositories, users are advised to use mirrors listed in the Pacman-Mirrorlist package. When downloading ISO images, it is recommended to use mirrors and verify the digital signature for data integrity. In case of Aur.Archlinux.org repository unavailability, packages can be downloaded from a mirror on GitHub using the provided command.
