According to the project, Spouses Elena and Nikolay Gaevsky were detained for half an hour before midnight on December 31. On duty nearby militiamen considered the fireworks “unauthorized picket” and planted young people in the insulator.
January 3, the case was transferred to the partisan district court of the Belarusian capital. The security forces who participated in the detention said at the meeting that Gaevsky decided to launch the red-white salute “under the influence of destructive Telegram-channels”, and during the explosion of pyrotechnics “shouted opposition slogans.” As a result, Nikolai Gaevsky received 15 days of arrest, his wife – 13 days. They did not recognize their guilt.
