Published JingOS 1.2, distribution for tablet PC

Available Release distribution Jingos 1.2 , which provides an environment, specially optimized for installation on tablet PCs and touch screen laptops. Project operations distributed under the GPLv3 license. Issue 1.2 Available only for tablets with processors based on Arm architecture (previously released and for architecture x86_64, but after the JingPad tablet appears all attention to the Arm architecture).

Distribution is built on the Ubuntu batch 20.04, and the user environment is based on Kde Plasma Mobile . To create an application interface, a QT is used, a set of components Mauikit and Kirigami framework from KDE Frameworks, allowing you to create universal interfaces automatically scalable taking into account various screen sizes. On-screen gestures are actively used to control on touch screens and touchpads, such as scaling to the tweezing and changing pages shift.

Supports OTA-update delivery to maintain software up to date. Installing programs can be made from both Ubuntu repository and SNAP directory and from a separate application store. The distribution kit also includes a layer Jaas (Jingpad Android App Support), allowing in addition to stationary Linux – Applications for the desktop to run both applications created for the Android platform (you can side by side to perform programs for Ubuntu and Android).
