The smallest nature of the infection of Omicron-strain can give a good immunity to the population and speed up the completion of the coronavirus pandemic in the world. This version of the development of events has been predicted by the Technical Director of Public Health Management (SSI) Denmark Tyr Grove Krause, reports the Danish TV channel TV 2.
According to Krause, Omicron strain will provide mass distribution of infection, however, the disease will proceed much softer, without serious consequences. The epidemiologist added that the risk of hospitalization due to the Omicron strain was twice as smaller than the Delta option.
“The spread of Omicron strain will reach the peak at the end of January, and in February we will already see a decrease in infectious pressure and reduce the burden on the health service. But we must make efforts in January, because it will be a difficult time,” the scientist believes.
Earlier in January, it became known about eight symptoms of the Omicron-strain of coronavirus, which manifest themselves in the early stages and are similar to signs of colds or influenza. So, the doctors called among them the hole in the throat, the pain in the lower back, the runny nose, or nasal congestion, headache, fatigue, sneezing, night sweating and lobs in the body.
