South Korea Pranked convicted of ex-president’s corruption

South Korean authorities pardoned the former president of Pak Kyn Hehe, convicted of corruption. This is reported by the Yonhap agency.

The appropriate decision is made on humanitarian considerations, taking into account its health. In 2019, Pak Kyn Hehe was made by a surgical surgery on his shoulder, and in 2021 the former president was hospitalized several times due to chronic shoulder pain and spine.

The presidential powers of Pak Kyn HE were suspended in 2017 as a result of the impeachment procedure. She was accused of corruption and in April 2018 sentenced to imprisonment. The prosecutor’s office demanded for her 30 years in prison and a fine of 118.5 billion van (about 95 million dollars). The court sentenced it to 24 years of imprisonment and a fine of about $ 95 million.
