FDI is tested by a regular ignition system of oxygen-metane engine

In the Test Complex of the Voronezh Rocket Engineering Center, which is included in the integrated rocket engine building structure, headed by NGO Energomash State Corporation Roscosmos, successfully carried out firing tests of the regular autonomous ignition system of the reusable oxygen-methane rocket engine RD-0177. It is being developed at the enterprise as part of a state contract for the creation of a basic launcher for promising deviations.

Director of Kbha Sergey Kovalev: “Our company is dynamically moving forward as part of the development of oxygen-methane subjects. These components of liquid fuel are optimally suitable for promising use in the composition of engines of returned reusable removal remedies and are actively mastered abroad, so we strive to make your own Contribution to the preservation of our country’s competitiveness in this area. “
KBCH’s chief designer Viktor Gorokhov: “We exceeded the planned test program: within one start-up day, instead of five inclusions, they spent eight during which they confirmed the efficiency and possibility of reusable use of the engine ignition system for promising use in the composition of regulatory carrier stages, Including “Amur-LNG” developed by the Rocket and Space Center “Progress” (Samara, is part of Roscosmos). The next stage of our work will be the testing of an experimental sample of oxygen-metane engine. “

Tests were held with the participation of representatives of the state corporation Roscosmos and the Progress Rocket and Space Center, which highly appreciated the results of the work performed.

Experienced Sample of the RD-0177 engine with a nominal bit of 100 tons is developed in KBCH under the state contract with Roskosmos within the framework of the design work “Creating a new generation missile engines and basic elements of march engines of promising deviation tools” and is intended for the development of technologies for creating oxygen – Motor engines with the possibility of repeated use for promising deviations.

The company has performed a sketch design, developed working design documentation, carried out model tests for the study of the processes of ignition and mix formation, the manufacture and carrying out autonomous conversion tests of individual nodes and machinery of the prototype engine.
