At the same time, the head of government did not specify the volume of reserves that will be implemented and the deadlines for the implementation of this process, referring to the fact that this information will later publish the Minister of Economics, Trade and Industry Koichi Khagiuda.

The Japanese prime minister called the stability of oil prices “very important task” to restore the economy after the coronavirus pandemic. He noted that the government does not intend to be limited to these measures and will cooperate with oil producers to soften the sharp rise in prices for gasoline and oil and support rural and fisheries.

Earlier, US President Joe Biden announced the release of 50 million barrels of oil from the strategic reserve of the country. The decision to use strategic reserves also accepted China, India, Japan, South Korea and the United Kingdom.
