Baghdad: Iraqi Prime Minister comes out unscathed from an attack at “trapped drone”

The residence of Moustafa al-Kazimi was targeted on Saturday on Sunday, in the green zone of the Iraqi capital. The Prime Minister calls “calm”.

His services are talking about a “missed assassination attempt”. Iraqi Prime Minister Moustafa Al-Kazimi “was not injured” during an attack on the night from Saturday 5 to Sunday, November 6th by means of a “trapped drone” which targeted his residence in the green zone in Baghdad, his office said.

“I’m fine”

“I’m fine, God be praised, and I call calm and withholding from all for the good of Iraq”, wrote Mr. Kazimi on Twitter Shortly after this ad.

This attack occurs at the moment when Iraq is prey to strong political tensions. PRO Iran group supporters lead two sit-in to protest the results of the early legislative elections of 10 October.
