Russia earns billions of dollars for food supplies to China. This is happening against the background of a trade war between the PRC and the United States, writes the Japanese edition of Nikkei Asia.
For several years, Russia has doubled the export of food to China, as well as the PRC hundreds of thousands of Hectares of farmland in the Far East. Improve the indicators of Russia helped the liberated niche – many American companies left China.
Sales of Russian products to China flew by 123 percent to almost 4 billion dollars in 2020 from $ 1.77 billion in 2017. The publication notes that the main supplier of products in China is the Far East, but many Russian producers lack financial resources to enter the Chinese market. The region may not be enough power to meet the demand from China.
Last year, Russia put a record for non-reliable non-energy exports to China. It rose to 16.3 billion dollars, which is 13 percent more than a year earlier. In 2020, the supplies of beef increased 4.5 times, significant growth is celebrated by rape, birds, sunflower oil and sweets.
