Head of WHO stated humanity about “spot on collective conscience”

The Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adan Hebresus said that the inequality in the distribution of vaccines from coronavirus in the world is the “spot on the collective conscience” of humanity. His words at the 71st session of the European Regional WHO Committee leads to TASS.

The head of the organization noted that in the world 5.5 billion doses of vaccines were introduced in the world, but almost 80 percent of them come to countries with income above average. “We do not want booster doses to apply in relation to healthy people, when so many health workers and people from the risk group are still waiting for their first vaccine,” Gebriesus emphasized.

He also recalled that the goal is to cover the vaccination until the end of September at least 10 percent of the population in all countries of the world, by the end of the 2021th – at least 40 percent, and by mid-2022 – at least 70 percent. An indicator of 10 percent has already reached 90 percent of countries in Europe.

Greesus reminded that the fastest way to overcome the current pandemic is to “vaccinate the most affected population in all countries and work simultaneously over the minimization of the virus spread.”

Previously, American scientists found out that people are unreasonable from Coronavirus when infected die 11 times more often than those who passed vaccination. It also became known that no vaccination people are 4.5 times more often infected with COVID-19 than fully grated.
