Zakharov commented on surveillance of Czech special services for president

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Maria Zakharov commented on the recognition of the Czech president of Milos Zemren, who told about the surveillance. She wrote about this in its Telegram account.

Head of the Czech Republic admitted that he had long been known about the inspection of the internal special services and therefore did not carry a telephone with him. He stated that this is not a single case. The President said that counterintelligence leads close observation of one of his associates.

Zakharov explained the causes of surveillance for the Czech president. In her opinion, Zemrenas pursue due to the refusal to maintain a version of Russian participation in explosions at military warehouses in the village of Vrbetice in 2014. “He publicly stated that the evidence of the Czech counterintelligence of the presence of certain” Russian agents “in the warehouse of ammunition in Vrbetice was not,” the diplomat emphasized.

“Now it becomes clear why so many years Czech special services could not investigate the tragedy. They have no time, they have many important cases – it is necessary to follow unreliable,” the representative of the Foreign Ministry has concluded.

In early August, the head of the Czech Foreign Ministry of Jacob Kulgank said that the first step towards improving relations between Russia and the Czech Republic should be made Moscow, and this step is the elimination of the Czech Republic from the list of unfriendly countries. In his opinion, the political relations between the two countries need to be built again.

The relations between Moscow and Prague complicated after the Czech Republic accused Russia in involvement in the explosions in the warehouse of ammunition in Vrbetice in 2014. Moscow denies the charges. As a result, 18 diplomats sent from the Czech Republic. Moscow, in response, declared 20 employees of the Czech embassy by Non Grata. Later it became known that Russia and the Czech Republic will equalize the number of employees in the embassies.
