USA and Canada team up to confront China

The US and Canada have teamed up to confront China. This was stated by US President Joe Biden following a video conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, RIA Novosti reports.

According to him, he discussed with Trudeau general approaches to global challenges.

“This includes coordinating our approaches to better compete with China and better protect our values,” Biden said.

Countries also agreed to modernize North America’s Joint Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and launch an expanded US-Canadian Arctic Dialogue that will cover “issues related to continental security, economic and social development and governance.” >

“Canada and the United States are not only vital NATO partners or allies committed to common defense. The Prime Minister and I discussed our work with our European allies to enhance transatlantic security,” Biden concluded.

Earlier, US President Joe Biden wanted to fight China together with the European Union and resist its “economic abuse and coercion.” Speaking at the Munich Security Conference, Biden said the US and its foreign partners should “make China accountable for its economic practices.”

On February 22, Chinese Foreign Minister, member of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi called the culprit in the deterioration of relations between Beijing and Washington. According to him, the degradation of Sino-American relations to the worst level in history was the fault of the administration of former US President Donald Trump.
