American “simulator” Su-57 crashed during tests

In the United States, during the tests, the first prototype of the fifth generation 5GAT target aircraft crashed, which is called the imitator of the Russian fifth generation fighter Su-57. This is reported by Janes, citing a report by the Pentagon’s director of operational testing and evaluations.

When and where exactly this incident took place is not specified. Other details of the incident are also not provided.

As noted, when creating 5GAT, experts took as a basis the characteristics of fifth-generation aircraft from China and Russia, including the Su-57. It is assumed that the American aircraft, in particular, will be used in testing the air-to-air and surface-to-air combat systems. In addition, it can be used in the training of pilots and ground crews, as well as in the development of methods to combat subtle air threats.

Earlier, the American edition of The National Interest wrote that the Russian Su-57 will not be able to defeat the American F-35 Lightning II in modern combat. They noted that one-on-one air battles can already be considered “idealized relics of a bygone era”, but in reality any collision between the F-35 and the Su-57 will imply, in particular, the participation of modern air defense systems and radar stations ( Radar).

Prior to that, in January it was reported that the first serial fighter of the fifth generation, the Su-57, was handed over to the Armed Forces of Russia. It was noted that in 2021 the Russian Armed Forces should receive four more such fighters.
