The release of the distribution OpenWrt 24.10.5 has taken place, developed for network devices such as routers, switches and access points. OpenWrt supports 2849 devices and offers a build system that makes it easy to cross-compile and create your own builds. Such assemblies allow you to create ready-made firmware with the desired set of pre-installed packages, optimized for specific tasks. Ready builds published for 39 target platforms.

- Device support has been added to the mediatek platform
ASUS TUF-AX4200Q, Cudy WR3000P v1, ipTIME AX7800M-6E, Konka KOMI A31, Totolink X6000R and WAVLINK WL-WN536AX6. - The ramips platform has improved support for eMMC and SD cards, added support for Cudy AP1300 Outdoor v1, Cudy devices C200P, Cudy R700, Cudy RE1200 Outdoor v1 and Hongdian H8850 v20.
- Support for LinkEase EasePi R1 and Lunzn FastRhino R66S devices has been added to the rockchip platform.
- Support for ESMT F50L1G41LC and Fudan Micro Flash chips has been moved to the Linux kernel FM25S01BI3.
- Problems with TP-Link Archer C60 v2, Sagem @ST3864OP, AVM FritzBox 7530, Sophos RED 15w, Watchguard Firebox T10 devices have been resolved.
GL.iNet GL-MV1000, Cudy AP3000 v1, Cudy WR3000H and Zbtlink ZBT Z8102AX V2. - Fixed vulnerability in the Dropbear SSH server that allows a local user to escalate their privileges in system. Options for port forwarding are enabled.
- The kernel package has been updated to version 6.6.119 (was 6.6.110).
- The state of the mac80211 subsystem is synchronized with the 6.12.61 kernel.
- Updated packages mt76 2025-11-06 and wireless-regdb 2025.10.07.
