Flutter Tools Now Available for Aurora OS Development

The Open Mobile Platform company, known for developing the Aurora OS which is based on the Sailfish platform, recently made an announcement regarding the release of the open source code for the Aurora Embedder library. Additionally, they introduced a special edition of the Flutter SDK toolkit, designed specifically for creating applications for the Aurora OS.

The Aurora Embedder, a crucial component for integrating the Flutter framework with the Aurora OS, was initially a closed product and was only available in the form of pre-built Flutter assemblies for the Aurora OS. However, the company has now decided to make the Aurora Embedder code open source, releasing it under the BSD license. Flutter, a popular toolkit, is utilized in the Aurora OS to streamline the process of adapting existing mobile applications at a rapid pace and cost-effectively. By using Flutter, developers can leverage a single code base to construct mobile applications for Android, iOS, and Aurora OS.
